Pool chemicals

The GoodPool company is engaged in the production of polypropylene pools for private and commercial use. We understand that their safe use requires systematic handling. Therefore, on our website in the section "Chemical for the pool" you can buy all the necessary products.

Pool chemicals: pH adjustment

One of the basic indicators that affects the comfortable swimming in the pool is the pH level. The pH in the pools should fluctuate between 7.2–7.4 pH. Water with a lower pH is acidic and can irritate people's mucous membranes, as well as adversely affect the metal elements of the pool. Water with a higher pH is alkaline. Such water leads to dryness of the skin at the fins and the formation of limescale on the bowl and pool equipment. In addition, alkaline water loses transparency and becomes cloudy.

Strong deviations from 7.2-7.4 pH in any direction reduce the effect of disinfectants, respectively, increase their consumption. You need to check the pH in private pools 2-3 times a week and, if necessary, adjust it with special preparations.

Disinfectants

Chemical for the pool will help prevent the formation and reproduction of harmful microorganisms. Chlorination is the most effective and cheapest way to disinfect water in commercial and private pools. Chlorine also removes organic pollution and inhibits the development of algae. Slow-dissolving chlorine is used on a regular basis - this maintains the concentration of free chlorine in the pool at a level of 0.5-1.5 ppm. With such indicators and the appropriate pH level, the water remains clean and safe for people. In case of strong contamination or the appearance of a smell of bleach, instant chlorine (shock-chlorine) is used. This allows you to quickly fix problems and restore the purity of the water.

In some cases, it is possible to disinfect with chlorine-free products, where the main substance is active oxygen:

  • in small pools used by a small number of people;
  • in case of allergy to chlorine;
  • in children's pools.

Chemical against algae

At first, to prevent the growth of algae in the pool, regular chlorine treatments will suffice. But over time, algae can become immune to chlorine. Then it is worth ordering special chemistry for the pool - it depresses the vital activity of algae, fungi and spores. Algicides - anti-algae products - are completely safe for people, subject to the rules of use.

How to remove cloudiness in pool water?

Sometimes, despite following all the purification procedures, the water in the pool becomes cloudy. If everything is in order with water circulation, filter operation and water chemistry, you will need coagulants and flocculants. These are special preparations that collect and stick together the smallest particles that reduce the transparency of water. That is, coagulants and flocculants coarsen small particles so much that most of them can trap the filter. The rest of the particles settle to the bottom and need manual cleaning, but the water becomes clear and safe for swimming.

Conservation of the pool for the winter

The soil under the influence of strong low temperatures can deform or damage an empty pool bowl. To compensate for the pressure on the bowl from the ground, fill the pool with water until frost. Special preparations will help prevent the appearance and development of mold, algae and microorganisms during the conservation of the pool.

Testers and reagents

Testers and reagents keep track of the current pool water chemistry, such as pH and free chlorine levels. Thanks to the data obtained, you will be able to apply the chemicals necessary in each case in a timely manner and constantly maintain high water quality.

All pool chemicals on the GoodPool website are certified.
